About the Creator

Brian is an Arizona native who has been composing original music at home and across the country for stage, screen, TV, radio and events for over 25 years. Brian has composed original music for the Walt Disney Company, WNBA, NBA, KTVK and many more. Brian served as staff composer for DHMA of New York, In Focus Productions of New York and Mirage Digital as well as Phoenix Theatre’s Cookie Company and A Ludwig Dance Theatre.

Brian’s career started the summer he graduated high school when he arranged and recorded the west coast premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins for Theatre Works. He went onto record and orchestrate Oklahoma, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Chicago and many more with Theatre Works' founder, David Wo.

Brian's musical theater credits include Guv: The Emperor Strikes Back, Tribe, multiple projects at Phoenix Theatre and Theseus, a musical and animated feature pitch that led to a personal invite from Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) to the Disney/ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop at the Disney Studios in 1997. He also scored the original modern dance pieces 'til death do us part, The Living Room Project and The Cheese Stands Alone with A Ludwig Dance Theatre at Tempe Center for the Arts.

He also composed scores to Tucson's' Discovering Kartchner Caverns pre-tour video, Tempe Towne Lake's 4th of July Splash-tacular water show, the Gila River Casino's Destinies water show, the award-winning short film Romey and Jules, the children's show Rusty's Garage, the award-winning international planetarium film The Invisible Universe, multiple theme songs for KTVK programming and more. He also released multiple Christmas CDs including They Came Upon a Star and royalty free music compilations including Remembrance when he was just 18.

One of Brian's greatest joys was serving as staff composer for Phoenix Theatre's Cookie Company, creating professional and award-winning original musicals with playwright Alan Prewitt (The Quiltmaker's Gift) and Phoenix Theatre's Artistic Director, Michael Barnard. Brian composed the scores and songs for The Girl Who Saved the Sun, Chicken Little's Big Idea, The Sword in the Stone, Aesop's Fables, Alice in Wonderland, Treasure Island, Robin Hood as well as the educational series and touring productions of Professor Flabberflaps Actual Factual Magnetic Gathertorium, Taking the Wrath Out of Math and There's Something In My Kitchen.

 

Brian has won multiple AriZoni and national Addy awards for his composing work. Brian has a bachelor’s degree in Music Theory and Composition from Arizona State University and lives in Arizona with his wife Stacey, and his two daughters, Elyse and Presley.
